Hilde Swart studied Arts and Culture in the Public Domain at the University of Amsterdam and completed the postgraduate program in Philanthropy at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She previously worked as a financial officer at Wakker Dier and as an organizational consultant for public libraries.
In addition to her commitment to nature and all the life intertwined within it, Hilde has a deep passion for the public role of libraries and for cultural participation. She remains active in these fields, including as a project manager and board supervisor.
Alongside the North Sea, Hilde also carries a very different place with her: Pico do Fogo in Cape Verde. At the foot of this volcano, she lives for part of the year, where she is also working on the establishment of a cultural center.
